oss.linn.co.uk uses  Subversion for its source control, so you will need to install a subversion client on your development machine.

Checking out the Mainline

Once you have a subversion client installed, the next step is to checkout a copy of the Mainline. To do this you need to execute the command,

svn co http://oss.linn.co.uk/repos/Public oss

This will checkout the Mainline into a directory called 'oss'. This process can take some time depending on the speed of your connection.

Updating the Mainline

Once you have a checkout, you can keep it up-to-date by executing the command,

svn up

from inside the 'oss' directory.

Once you have checked out the appropriate code, you can start to build the code.
