Our reference PDA that we will use for all verification testing is an HP iPAQ 214.
You can download the Microsoft .NET Compact Framework 3.5 redistributable from here - Please refer to Microsoft's download page for instructions on how to install the runtime on your handheld device.
Although this software has been designed for Windows Mobile 6, it is believed to be compatible with Windows Mobile 5 and even Windows Pocket PC 2003. However, your success with older OS's may vary. For a list of devices that people have reported success with see: KinskyPdaDevices
Installation Instructions
There are two methods of installing KinskyPda on your handheld device.
- ActiveSync
- If not done already, download and install ActiveSync
- Download the appropriate KinskyPda CAB file to your PC
- From your PC browse to your handheld device and copy the CAB file to a known location on your device
- Browse to the known location of the previous step and click on the CAB file
- Follow the onscreen instructions
- Direct download to handheld
- Open Internet Explorer on you handheld device
- Navigate to this webpage and download the approprate KinskyPda CAB file to your device
- Follow the onscreen instructions
